Like the scope of Las Vegas, I don’t think that the size of CES can be articulated. There are about 11 buildings in all, with 3500 vendors from all over the world. While there, we saw a lot of cool, cutting-edge technology. Most of what we saw isn’t even available on the market yet.

It took us almost 11 hours to walk around the main hall, and we still had 10 buildings left to see! Navigating CES is lots of work. It’s pretty much all walking. About half way through the first day, we stopped in one of the concession halls to rest and sit for a little while. It’s here, while casually resting, that a man with a microphone came up to us…
I didn’t recognize him right away, but most celebrities look different when you see them in person. I did notice that his microphone said “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” though. And sure enough, it was Howie Mandell. A minor star to say the least, but hey, still pretty cool.
He asked us if we wanted to be on TV, and of course, we said yes. Howie chose Bergsie and Andy to shoot a sketch they were calling, “Brokeback Fountain.” I thought it was interesting that they chose them, and when asked, it made sense. They said that Bergsie and Andy looked the most homosexual, but back to the story… Howie and his crew were all laughing while we were shooting it. Basically, it was a gay playoff of the real movie, and Andy and Bergsie performed it perfectly (it helps that they’re both actually extremely gay). The show aired on the Tonight Show the following Thursday, and the rest, is history…
